Phobia???
I remember reading in President Obama's book "The Audacity of Hope" something about former President Bush having a phobia about shaking hands. Mr. Obama (then a newly elected senator) mentioned that Mr. Bush squirted hand sanitizer in his hands immediately after shaking hands with him. Seems I remember former Whitehouse advisor, Karl Rove stating that this was a lie from Mr. Obama. I wonder...
Cracka Music!
There's a scene in the movie "Menace 2 Society" Where some guys are sitting in a car, and the cat in the backseat with the black nationalist mindset, ask the driver to play a tape. The driver takes the tape, looks at it and tosses it back to his boy and says "You know that shit gets no play up in my ride" or something like that. I remember my boy JB did the same thing to me back in the day (1984) when I asked him to listen to this song called "Owner of A Lonely Heart" by the british group YES. LOL! We would pull up down the street from Miami Northwestern Sr.High (Were we should have been in class) around the time school was about to let out, que up Quadrant 6's "Body Mechanic" and let that bass loose as we drove by the honeys.
(Seems silly as hell now, but it was effective)
My boy, JB wasn't try to hear it back then! If it wasn't on WEDR, or they wasn't bumping it on 15 AVE, that shit got no play! I tried everything to convince him that there was something in that "Cracka music" all to no avail. I thought the drums in The Romantics "Talking in Your Sleep" would do it. Nope! Maybe the technofunk of Thomas Dolby's "Blinded Me with Science" . Nah! Old boy wasn't trying to hear it! I always wonder if now, years later, my boy has opened up to music outside of what he deemed acceptable for rotation in the ride. I still think some of them White boys and girls was up on it!
What were some songs that you thought were "The Jam" that your folks just were'nt feeling? Hit Me up!

Is the cussing REALLY necessary?
My kids would say this was "Hot". Me?.. Jury is still out. I mean I like a lot of the music that's out now. (I try to stay up on it) It's just that sometimes... The cussing fatigues my ears. I miss stuff like Con Funk Shun or This late night Miami (80's) classic . When did it become a requirement that you had to be vulgar on a love song? Hit ya boy back on this one. via facebook or Tweeter
